Eran I Arderinei was the first king of the valley after the formation of the empire and the liberation of the Traxei. He officiated the valley as the The Kingdom of Phyrozes. He was named after Eran the Traxei.
Eran was the second child and the eldest son of Princess Helmeras Alzari and her slave, Derin the Liberator. In 4 AE, Eran claimed a wild cliff rugha that he named Umbra. The process caused him to permanently damaged his right leg, earning him the alias the crippled.
General
Eran was born in 22 BE in Crimson Sanctuary as Prince Eranarros Alzari. Derin named him Eran after Eran the Traxei, and Helmeras added the Varkrysathur suffix. He was younger than Sereiras by six years. He had a younger brother, Cyndarros, who was born ten years after his birth.
Since his youth, Eran had always been fascinated by history. Unlike Sereiras and Cyndarros who preferred to stay within the caverns of Thospeiros, Eran would join Derin on his flights to the valley and surrounding kingdoms, and had better knowledge of rugha than his siblings. Derin ended up gifting him a silver rugha egg, but it never hatched.
Eran was described as tall and imposing, with classic Alzari features and hair that he’d always kept short and braided on one side. Records stated that Eran was ‘as charming as he was shy’, he excelled in history, laws, and political studies. Betrothals have been proposed to Eran since he was thirteen, but Eran kept on rejecting them, saying that he wished to live the life of a scholar rather than being wedded. Eran was deeply fascinated by his ancestor, Eran the Traxei, and wrote two books on his lamentation on Eran the Traxei.

When he was sixteen, Derin gifted him Nathuram, whom he believed would be an excellent companion for Eran later on when she grew up. Eran held a banquet to welcome Nathuram into his household and spent years teaching her how to read and write.
As the King of Phyrozes, Eran was adamant on reintroducing pre-colonial Traxei culture to the Traxei by encouraging studies and familiarizing his subjects to archaeological findings. He also hired scholars from Venefigus and Thospeiros to research and write tomes and books about pre-colonial Traxei culture and traditions, which he spread around the empire. The Traxei would have completely lost their identity and followed Varkrys in sociopolitical compass had not been for Eran’s efforts.
Objectively, Eran was a good father; his only flaws was that he doted on his children too much, which led to his heir and the next king of Phyrozes, Rakai I, to be weak and indecisive that he eventually created a chain of events which resulted in the Civil War of Phyrozes.
